These are a few of the questions everyone has. Let's see what we can come up with for answers.
Marc Miller recently stated that T5 will appear in June of 2007. He has also stated that he will direct it very closely and not trust others with production so much as before (T4). And he has several fresh ideas for the new version, as well. For one, a new milieu based in a time of great expansion for the fledgling Third Imperium (where they begin to bump up against powerful neighbors) will be developed, while sourcebooks for other milieux will be available, as well. There are some old playtest files available here, but some new material will be available to registered testers, soon (watch for announcements on our Discussion Forum)
TRAVELLER5 finally announced!
Marc Miller has finally confirmed the publishing date for the next version of REAL Traveller. Read about it and order the first product at this page on the FFE web site. Also, Hunter Gordon over at RPGRealms announced on April 3rd that T5 playtest will begin in The Moot very soon.

Another new concept for T5 will be "Life Pursuits". In addition to a profession, a character can have an interest or avocation that they pursue with some zest and gain skill in.
All information has a source, and the source for the statements above is Marc Miller himself. No, he does not take secret, high-level consultations with me over the next version of Traveller, but he has mentioned his ideas at various times in various places. I've just collected the scraps and stored the knowledge. You can, too. For instance, you can alpha test the (somewhat outdated) rules (see below) or start writing adventures for any version of Traveller with the new EPIC System method. Take a look at the T5 Table of Contents and Product Line and maybe you'll feel inspired to write one of the titles. Join our discussion forum.

I'm seeking suggestions for the future of this web site. I was trying to position it as the forerunner of the official web site, available on my nickel to promote the idea of a Fifth Edition. Now that an official announcement has been made, and since RPGRealms is hosting the playtesting in their private subscriber area (The Moot), the need for this site as a rah-rah forum may have passed. What ideas do you have? Should I turn it into something else? Turn the name over to Marc, et al? Please email me at Rah-Rah Central with your suggestions.
